Oulujoen Tervasoutu (the Oulu River Tar Row) follows the tracks of our ancestors tranporting tar to Oulu for sale. For rower Oulujoki reveals its magnificent sceneries and various sites of historical incidents. This event is known for its many breaks for coffee, meals and general socialising. The event takes two days and rowers are accommodated at Montta, Muhos where is arranged many kind of shows and activities. It is also possible to participate from Muhos to Oulu on one day trip.

Kainuun Soutu (the Kainuu Row) is the summer´s most fun fitness and recreation event, where good humour and co-operation skills are required. Kainuun Soutu is rowed by church boats and there are separate categories for fitness rowers and leisure rowers where one price goes to the most funny crew! The experience culminates in the Rowing Evening Gala at Katinkulta, Vuokatti.

The world´s largest rowing event. About 60 or 70 kilometers around Partalansaari , the biggest island of lake Saimaa. The 42nd traditional finnish rowing event collects together almost 10.000 rowers!

Mommilanjärven Soutelu

An annual merry rowing festival located in a traditional Finnish hamlet on the border of counties Hausjärvi and Lammi. There you will experience a summer carnival atmosphere of accordion players, logging demonstrations, scent of tar, bonfires, buffets, marketplace and dancing by the beach. Lots of activities for the children. All this and much more is the 20th Mommilanjärven Soutelu (Rowing at Mommila-lake). The rowing distance is 11 km, no competition required. Routes for paddlers and bicyclers also provided.

The 25th Karelia-Soutu (the Karelia Row) takes place in the beatiful North-Karelian region famous for its river and lake sceneries. The trip takes a week to accomplish and it is rowed in church boats or smaller rowing boats on an incompetitive manner. You may also participate a part of the trip. The refrehments served on the breaks are provided by the local people and in the evenings there is dancing, shows and socialising.

Tahkon Soutu-ja Melonta

The new three canals passing waterway from Kuopio via Juankoski to port of Nilsiä was first opened in the summer of 2002. The route is 94 kilometers long and provides spectacular sceneries. The fifth time arranged Tahkon soutu-ja melonta (the Tahko Row and Paddle) is a leisurely event where the main issue isn´t to compete but to enjoy the beauty of the local nature and Finnish summer. But naturally we also welcome those rowers who would like to find the limits of their fitness. During the trip the local service industries take part in the event providing maintenance, meals, program and accommodation.

Pyhäjärvi, in the middle of Finland, is a new rowing event location; a pure blue pearl among the Finnish lakes!
The event´s Protective Spirit, ancient gnome called Wäinö who dwells in the lake, welcomes you to the third Hiijensoutu!
You may come with your own boat or just bring your team here to choose a boat provided by us!
There are separate divisions for traditional church boats and for competitive church boats; you may take your pick!
In the competitive division there are two teams from Finnish hockey league to provide you a proper resistance.
There is also a division for women, where to win takes more than cross the finish line first!
